What is a typical day at a Tech Camp?

A typical day begins with children arriving between 9.30am and 9.45am. There is then a warm-up activity and an introduction to the next step in developing projects.

Lunch lasts between 60 minutes. Students normally bring their own lunches. If the weather is good, the tutors will allow the children outside where everyone can get some fresh air. When the weather isn’t so great indoor games and activities  are organised by the camp tutors.

Campers will keep following the course and working on their projects for the rest of the afternoon.

We often have multiple rooms to organise break-out group activities or have snacks away from equipment.

Lunch is eaten in a dedicated canteen.

We’re based in London (Harrow), Milton Keynes and Bedford

Please check the individual course for pricing.

Are the kids just working on computers all day?

When in the classroom – classes are certainly spent at the computer. However, it is important to know that the students are being creators of technology, not consumers. The computers are simply the tool for our students to learn, to collaborate, to design and to challenge each other.

We mix up their time between computers and offline activities (coding board games, educational games, theatre sports, arts and crafts etc). We have taken great care in creating a schedule that incorporates many aspects of learning. The students will be shown different ways in which they can relate to the technology.

Do you offer food for the students?

No. The students must bring packed lunch and snack for the breaks.

Does the student need to have previous coding experience?

Our camp is suitable for total beginners. We’re looking for students with a passion to learn.
